So this was one of those months that only another single parent can understand. The child support shows up later and later (for some, not at all). Bills come due and you have to make other arrangements. God and I have daily discussions which include me reminding Him that He is my only source, my only supply, the only one I can fall back on. My innate need for a sense of security is beginning to feel a bit strained. Then I receive a letter from my insurance company saying my policy has expired due to non-payment. It is 9:00pm in Oklahoma and customer service is closed. It is the peak of tornado season and I have to wait until morning to figure out what went wrong. I cry, I pray for no tornados, I sleep, and repeat. First thing in the morning the mortgage company's computer calls to tell me they need proof of insurance when they were supposed to pay it to start with! So after some phone calls I find all is ok, I had coverage all along. Another call confirms the money is in the account to pay the bills and God reminds me that the eggs I borrowed from mom fed the boys breakfast with food to spare. God had it already taken care of. I am so glad He always takes care of me even when things get tight. Even when you don't have much to share, sometimes a few eggs is all you need to get you there ... where God has already answered your prayer.
